Andrea Jones (Apprentice), a native of northern Virginia, began her professional dance training at the Russell School of Ballet, under the direction of Thomas and Ilona Russell. Andrea has also studied at the Virginia School of the Arts, American Ballet Theater, the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, Boston Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She graduated from George Mason University in 2008 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees: one in dance and the other in English with a concentration in comparative literature. Andrea has choreographed works for the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, Wilson College, George Mason University, and the Fairfax Ballet. Most recently, her choreography was selected and presented in the 26th Annual Choreographers' Showcase in College Park, Maryland. As a dancer, she has had the opportunity to perform and study at the Chautauqua Institution and work with choreographer Scott Rink, portraying the Queen of Hearts in his production of Alice in Wonderland.
